About Me

I am a seasoned educator that has experience in the classroom from PK-5th grades. I have taught general and special education, and spent my last three years in the classroom in a self-contained Life Skills program. I have legal compliance experience not only in Special Educaiton, but also in state assessment and social work. I recently completed my Masters in Educational Leadership at Lamar University. My most recent role in education is as a Campus Testing Coordinator at a brand new middle school in the fastest growing district in Texas. My organizational and compliance skills, as well as my communication skills, lent to me having a very successful state assessment year leading a faculty of 60+ colleagues. Prior to education, I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University, and spent 4 years working for Child Protective Services. During my time there I worked with families on service plans, monitored foster homes, and completed around 60 adoptions. I have experience mentoring new educators, and have mentored 6 new teachers who all now lead very successful careers in education.
